Meets on the second Wednesday of the month
10:30 am - 12:00 pm, no registration required
Genealogy Club meetings are held in the library's Genealogical and Historical Collections Room, our former Activity Room.
A Local History librarian provides internet and archival genealogy instruction and research support.
The club is facilitated by Jamie Poorman, a Professional Librarian with a Certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University.
If you have questions, please email Jamie at jpoorman@marshallplib.com or call (217)826-2535.
Members also share ideas and meet other researchers, receive help with research questions and brick wall dilemmas, and share genealogy finds.
Computers are available to research genealogy using Ancestry Library Edition, Family Search, Marshall Public Library's Digital Archive, and more.
Since there are a limited amount of computers, please bring your laptop or tablet that can be connected to the library’s Wi-Fi.
The club may also assist with special projects and research to preserve Clark County's heritage.
