Come to Marshall Public Library for information about how to prepare for the GED online using the library’s computers in partnership with Lake Land College Adult Education. Join over 10,000 students in Illinois and other states who have prepared to take their GED exam by studying online with GED-i, an online preparation course.
GED-i is a learning opportunity using both teachers and computers. A student will work independently with the full support and guidance of a GED teacher. Some students will attend regular GED classes and use GED-i outside of class. Other students will use GED-i solely with no class instruction. Marshall Public Library works closely with Lake Land College Adult Education and has library staff that are familiar with how the GED-I works and can assist you in deciding if this educational opportunity is right for you. Additionally, computers with free Internet access are available for your use at the library.
Created by the Center of the Application of Information Technologies at Western Illinois University and funded by the Illinois Community College Board, GED-i has grown into a national curriculum used from coast to coast. Through the support of the Illinois State Library, many students have found the library to be a wonderful resource as they use the curriculum.
